Why Korean Products?

Korean skincare is rated the best in the world, and they focus on the overall health and well-being of their skin. The glowing and glass skin concept is at the core of K-Beauty and the Korean skin care products are created with that in mind. The aim is to always have hydrated, glowing skin which enables us to be confident and comfortable in our own skin without the desire or need to cover up in make-up.

Where do you source your products?

All of our products are 100% authentic Korean beauty products which we source directly from the vendors as well as reliable and recognised 3rd party vendors. We have team members on the ground in Korea who ensure our products are authentic and source the latest and most innovative products available.

Are your products cruelty-free?

All Korean products which are produced and manufactured in Korea are cruelty-free. This is as a result of the bill passed by The Korean National Assembly in 2018 which banned companies from testing cosmetics and ingredients on animals.

Do you have a brick and mortar store?

At this stage we are only an online store. We are available at certain markets and events and we would love to meet our loyal ROKstars. We are based in Cravenby, Cape Town and we do have a collection facility available for ROKstars who would prefer not utilising the courier option.

What do I do if you do not stock a product I want?

The MyBeautyRoks team policy is “If we do not stock it, we will source it just for you!!” we aim to please our ROKstars and provide the best service possible, it’s with this in mind that we will curate products on special order for ROKstars and source it at the best possible price. We ship in new products from Korea once a month and we encourage our ROKstars with special orders to contact us as soon as they have a request, in order for us to ensure their products are sent out with the first available shipment. It is important to note that there may be delays in shipping due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

I’m new to K-Beauty, how do I know what will work for me?

K-Beauty skincare products are rated the best in the world and Koreans are known for their 10-step beauty routine. Do not feel intimidated by this because you do not need to jump face first into a 10-step routine. You can start off with the basics and build on your routine as you feel more comfortable and confident with a more intensified beauty regime.

We totally understand that as a newbie the product names sound foreign and may make you feel like you are in a science class which is very intimidating. Don’t worry!! We are here to assist you on your K-Beauty journey. Feel free to pop us an email, DM on Instagram/Facebook or WhatsApp us and we will respond to all your queries and assist you in choosing the best products for your skin and within your budget.

Is K-Beauty skincare only for women?

Korean skincare products are unisex and it is safe to say that men can use them too 😊

Most Asian men use these products and are also extremely interested in ensuring they have clear, glowing, glass-like skin.

What do I do if I have a reaction from a product?

It is important to note that we encourage all ROKstars to do a “patch test” with all products as we cannot guarantee how an individual’s skin may react to a particular product. Whilst we may recommend products to customers based on specific skin types, we cannot accept liability for any negative effects on sensitive skin, rashes, allergic reactions, or any other adverse effects. Our recommendations are not to be construed as medical advice

How Do I Make A Lay-By?

1. How do I order for a Layby?

You select the products you like from our website. The list of products you want to purchase is then sent to us via email at laybys@mybeautyroks.co.za
We will get back to you within 24 hours to confirm stock availability.

2. How do I secure the layby? Is there a deposit to be paid?
To secure the products a 30% deposit is to be paid.

3. What are the requirements for the layby?  
Once your layby order is received and approved, we will send you a layby contract to sign and return with a copy of your ID. A proof of payment of the deposit must also be sent with the signed agreement.

4. How long is the layby time period?
 All purchases under R850 must be paid  within two months. All purchases over R850 you have 3 months to pay.

5. What is the layby limit?
The maximum layby amount is R2000.

6. When do I receive my products?
Once the final payment is made and received by MyBeautyRoks, we arrange for the shipment or collection of your products.

7. What happens if I do not pay my layby within the agreed upon time period?
Failure to pay for your layby within the agreed time period will result in your layby being cancelled and you will be liable to pay a cancellation penalty.
