MBR SAFETY GUIDE |
Dear RokStars
Here at My Beauty Roks the safety of our RokStars is of utmost importance, thus we came up with the following safety guidelines.
1. Please perform a patch test when using new products.
A patch test is very important as it will help you to be sure that you can safely use a new product.
Even though the products sold by My Beauty Roks contain high-quality ingredients, people can have an allergic reaction to all kinds of ingredients, whether it’s natural or synthetic ingredients. For more information on how to perform a patch test, please scroll down.
2. Please use sunscreen, especially if you are using products containing Vitamin c, AHA, BHA, and PHA
Sunscreen is of utmost importance and more so if you are using Vitamin C products as well as any chemical exfoliants such as AHA, BHA, and PHA during the daytime. These ingredients increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun. Alternatively please use products with these ingredients during your evening routine.
3. Please do not use the products on parts of your skin that are sensitive, where there is scarring, if you have eczema, dermatitis, or any other skin conditions unless the products are made for these skin conditions.
4. Please keep all products out of reach of babies and children.
5. Please keep the products away from heat, freezing temperatures, and direct sunlight.
Let’s use these amazing skincare products in a safe and responsible way.
From Korea with love,
My Beauty Roks
Here’s how to perform a patch test:
Use a clear patch of skin. It should be somewhere that you can comfortably leave alone for up to 24 hours.
Wash the area.
If there is a reaction, you want to be sure that it’s the new product you applied and not something else.
Apply a small amount of the product to the patch of skin you’ve chosen. Cover with a band-aid.
Wait 24 hours before removing the band-aid. However, if you experience any pain, burning, or itching, you should remove the band-aid and wash the affected area right away.
When you remove the band-aid, you should be able to notice immediately if you have an allergic reaction. When you first remove the band-aid, you may notice some pink or red color from the band-aid itself, but this should fade after a short while. If the redness does not fade, then you may have a mild allergy. If the skin is red, raised, itchy, or covered with a rash, then it is likely you have a severe allergy to the product and you should please refrain from using the product.
